The R2S Solid Reactive Coverstock

Storm’s Master line boasts several excellent bowling balls, but none quite like the IQ Tour from their Master series. Combining one of the great coverstocks from resin bowling with an innovative core design produces incredible versatility on any lane surface; and when things get tricky or squirrelly on a game of bowling you need strong core with reliable cover to help maintain control – something which IQ Tour has excelled at since its introduction! The new IQ Tour bowling ball features an enhanced version of Storm’s popular Centripetal control core, now with a lower differential thanks to its innovative mass distribution design and smooth transitional midlane roll capability. Equipped with an optimal 4000-grit Abralon finish and R2S solid reactive coverstock to provide consistent traction.

This coverstock can also be found on other Storm balls like the Phaze Two, IDOL, and HYROAD pearl. Its high readability on lane conditions and low transition sensitivity make it the ideal companion to Centripetal control core technology.

This ball excels on medium test patterns where its symmetric core should help control breakpoint shapes while still permitting higher rev rates to play more direct lines, as well as heavy oil patterns. Because of its low RG/diff differential core ratio, this ball naturally has less track flare than many Storm balls, allowing high rev players (like Dale Traber) to set out their shots more effortlessly than they previously could with low flare balls like Storm or G5 series balls.

This ball can also work effectively on light to medium oil patterns due to its R2S cover’s ability to produce torque at breakpoint, while its 1500 grit polished pearlized cover helps retain energy as it passes through pins – giving longer back end motion that allows the IQ Tour stay on target more often. Our test staff found it effortless, hitting on our medium test pattern with only minor surface adjustments needed on occasion.
