Formula for Contentment

God has provided a road map to fulfillment. The Bible contains the Good News preached by Jesus Christ. If we do what He wants, we will be happy now and have a chance at eternal life with Him. This state, known as eternal life, will be the pinnacle of contentment. The rules we must follow to achieve this joy are laid out in His Gospel. He does not impose His will on us to make our lives miserable. Following Christ’s commands releases us from the problems threatening our lives and keeps us from the joy He promises.

On the other hand, Satan has a clear picture of our potential. He profoundly understands God, Jesus, and everything they represent. Satan will use any means to thwart God’s purpose for human fulfillment. We must be conscious of Satan’s evil scheme so that we can resist his temptations.

God’s plan for fulfillment is uncomplicated. We must follow His instructions and resist the devil’s wiles. You will have more strength to resist Satan’s temptations and devote yourself to God if you know them. One of Satan’s techniques is convincing us that God doesn’t care about us and that any bad things that happen to us are punishment. Whenever anything awful occurs, many people think, “If there were a God, these things wouldn’t happen.” This is how Satan would have us believe; it is a lie. We need to change our perspective on life’s difficulties so they do not ruin us. The lesson He is trying to impart upon us must be sought out.

Consider the following; it could shed light on this theory.

One of the keys to fulfilling one’s life’s purpose and mission is realizing that even the bad things that happen to us have a higher reason. God does not directly cause the bad things that happen to us in life; instead, He permits us to go through them to grow from them. We’ll all be happier once we get this.

When we adopt a more optimistic and healthy perspective on life’s difficulties, we can better put in the effort required to triumph over them. When we do, we’ll be able to appreciate their value and put them to work in inspiring us to become better people. In addition to making you happier, this concept will.

Example: My alcoholic father completely derailed my childhood development and nearly derailed me as an adult. I needed to shift my perspective and figure out why I was being wounded. I realized then what I know now: that they were the building blocks for finding my life’s true calling. I’ve used what I discovered about life as a kid and how to avoid the pitfalls my father created to assist other young people in having a more optimistic outlook on their lives. I’ve spent much time in Juvenile Hall counseling young people on making healthy life decisions and discouraging them from drinking. I’ve found a lot of joy in finding a way to turn this situation around.

Getting over previous hurts is possible in part by doing just that: moving on. The value of forgiveness is a lesson we must all learn. When we forgive those who have wronged us, we are no longer bound by bitterness and resentment and are free to move on with our lives. With God’s aid, we can master this challenging principle. Getting our minds to work constructively is an excellent approach to moving forward with our lives. We may accomplish this by learning about and honing our strengths. When we’re developing, life is good. There’s no room for pessimism while we’re making headway. God wants us to grow into the best versions of ourselves. Once we begin to see results, we’ll feel better about ourselves and our lives. Those that wrong us are of little importance. When we have a higher opinion of ourselves, we have a higher opinion of our partners, parents, etc. Happiness increases when we love both ourselves and others.

Fourth, we have to pay attention and manage our internal dialogue. We have to put a stop to the negative thoughts that try to dominate our minds. Praying to God for guidance as we work to displace destructive mental habits is an essential first step. Our ideas can’t hold both negativity and optimism at once. We can choose to think more constructively instead of destructively. We can’t let the injuries and mistakes of others, or our regrets about the past, ruin our hopes for the future. If we give in to our negative ideas, they will eventually kill us. A jail educator once observed, “We are what we think.” There is a lot of truth to this. You’ll be happy if you learn to manage your ideas.

Fifth, we have to accept the mystical realities of existence. Everything has its positive and wrong sides. While it’s essential to watch for the positive aspects of life and the people in it, we must also be aware that there is a destructive, depressing, and stopping force out there. Satan appears here. This power is always available if we want to tap into it. God has a good plan for our happiness, but Satan is aware of it and will do anything to thwart it. We need to be conscious of this and act accordingly. Joy can be yours if you’ve outwitted Satan. God’s might much surpass that of Satan.

Finding joy and contentment in life requires working to develop the skills and abilities God has given us, pushing ourselves to grow and expand, and triumphing over the challenges we face. We must put our talents to work for others to find our true calling. When we use the skills and resources God has given us to make the lives of others better, we enrich our own lives in the process. Ultimately, we learn that everything that happens to us, whether good or evil, is for our growth and the growth of others around us. We can serve our God and achieve fulfillment by adopting the right frame of mind. God intended it this way, and so can we.
