Tasker requires knowledge of both an Insteon ID and port number to control devices; you can obtain these details by accessing your hub’s Devices section. In addition, when setting up Home Automation scenes, you should set up devices with their Insteon device type and the relevant Insteon Command code, enabling you to create commands that turn devices on/off or dim/brighten lights as desired.
Your Android phone allows you to easily connect these devices and then create a Tasker profile, which responds when their state changes.
